Art / Music / Writing - Rules

We realize that there are those of you who take great pride in your artwork and would love a forum to show it off.  Off-Topic has as of late been the place to display your creative abilities, but we thought it was time we give you your own forum.  This way it's easier for you to see these types of threads and to actually get real responses.  Remember that this is for VISUAL and LITERARY art.  Audio art has a home in the Face the Music forum.

Perhaps you're not that gifted in the art area but you still have an interest in art and artists or authors and their work, both past and present.  Feel free to discuss any artists or authors you happen to like or even those you dislike (pubbers are excluded from your dislikes).

The rules for this forum are simple and most of the rules you have already agreed to when you signed up.

*No nudity.
           While there is a line between what makes nudity art and what makes nudity porn, we're going to go ahead and draw the line of no nudity period. 

*No spamming.
           Obviously.  Two word posts just don't cut it, I want a minimum of four.  If you have any questions about this rule, feel free to U2U me about it.

*No flaming.
           There's a difference between flaming and criticising .  Flaming  is a general forum offense which you all know better than to do.  Criticism is meant to help.

*No stealing.
           If you're an artist, you know how much work it takes into making your artwork.  If you're not one, trust us, some people put many many hours of their time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears into their artwork.  Do not post artwork that is not yours and misappropriate it, that is, make it seem like it is yours.  Always give proper credit where it is due. Also, before posting another pubber's artwork or artwork from other forums, please ask the original author of the work(s) for permission.  The exception to this rule are online art galleries and the like, if someone has a public gallery which gives permission for you to link, you may link those.
