Topic: Changes in PPW...

So I've been talkin with sk8...and thinking about some changes to promote being in gangs.  we all know that, for the most part, flying solo is still better so...
I suggested gettin rid of favor tarrifs amongst your own gang.  this would allow for other gang members to buy wholesale. 
I also suggested even more defense for gang members specifcally against non-gang members...almost like a "gang bonus" rather than racial.  but the defense bonus would cancel out if it was one gang member against another...
i also have to agree that there should be a higher gang member max

I think having a no-tariff policy for gang members would encourage too many people to join gangs just to static, and while it would be nice to have some of these guys tag up I think the Gang Market idea is a better one.

I've even got an idea for the name of the gang market. We could call it "The Head Shop"...:eureka:

I also like the idea of having an option to share more troops than the 10% currently allowed. But I also think that anything over the 10% allotted shouldn't count towards your OWN defense anymore, so there's some penalty involved, and that the total amount shouldn't exceed 20% - at least, not at first anyways. The amount could always be raised later if it seems like it's still not working too well.

Still waiting on the raising of the gang limit to happen though...:rolleyes:

maybe joined attacks? two territories attacking one? or two? just a thought... could add a lot more fun to being in a gang

you are trying to make gangs too strong. if your afraid of the fact that one pimp can bitch slap a whole gang, then make it possible to add a single territory to the war list for say 12 hrs, but only one person at a time, and only like once or twice a week.

the whole point is to encourage gangs.  not many people are good enough to play outside of gangs and e very affective at the same time.  however, with a good leader, and a somewhat ecent squad, people will be able to stat in gangs.  it's just better for people to be in gangs.  it causes more of a constant threat, causing politics and actual smarts to come into the game.  not to mention that if you have a good leader you learn alot from them...if you want. I think being in a gang last run helped my game and mentals (if you dnt mnd me sayin).  anyway, my point is to encourage taggin up.

Edit edit:  the market thing would be way too complicated...at least, i think you'd have to put serial numbers on troops then...and that's way too complicated (pointless (at least i thnk)).  because what's to stop people from flooding the reg pm with gang market prices (just addin an extra step). 
annnnndddd....the double attack on empires sounds kinda cool...but it's already easy to break people as is...might make it a lil too hard...maybe if it was for solos tryin to team up on gangs...

The same goes here.  Without our old buddy Vex from Dark Ages, Amayas and I wouldhn't have the skills we have now *I don't mean to sound cocky by any means, it's just that Amayas, Mental, Myself and several others have several years of experience with the prominiscence engine (what this game runs on)*

ehm, maybe another question, shouldn't there be any changes to crackers?
I mean, they kinda dominate the game, together with the farmers... there are hardly any blud blades/wardogs/ill will to man or warhelm users... is that just because everybody likes using crime that much or is it because their unability to defend against crack attacks?

I know I'm not currently playing now, but I miss the old Dark Ages alliance I had with Mental and some others. Alliances are generally one of the best parts of the game, imo. smile

ahh yes...it has been about 2 years...that's so fuckin crazy.  and i was the bigest noob...vex would be like, dont do this, dont do this...and i wouldnt listen LOL.  anyway...yeah i think crackers are the best in this game, for those who cant play that well (there killer for those who can), but pretty much evey group (sept for warhelmlol) is good in there own right.  PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND YOU NEED TO KEEP DEALERS NO MATTER WHAT U ARE.  i'm tinkering for the first time and i've got the biggest hold on the market...plus the more you play the more you understand the game...ther's always one tiker (or a secon pussy tnkr) a run, i happen to be that this time.   another tiunker (unles rock or power or bill etc) would drown under me...it's about learning how thegame is played...which is why, if u are lead by one that knows, and u choose to listen, you can learn the legit way to play.  because, it's true, we've played this shit so long that we know certain shit...though nice in theory just doesnt cut it.   there are certain unsaid rules that one must abide by to get ahead in thiscruel world of ppw.

Yea, DA alliances were bitchin' fun, expecially when you were owning all the other ones big_smile I would do it again, but I got banned for being too damn good (kinda/sorta/notreally/haters)

IMO PPW seems to move to fast for alliances to be any real fun. If you're playing against hany person with half a brain, half of your alliance can die overnight, and then be ready to do it again the next day.

Clans/Gangs/Alliances, whatever you want to call them, should be strong and have some advantages, certainly more than they have now.

I was also thinkin about how in this game...goin on a kill run is so damn easy...i mean...if i recall correctly, there was a two person kill last run, or b4...whatev, basically that is def somethin that needs to change.
so perhaps once a person drops below 1k land, the ammount of streets you'd take is cut in half...or sum variation of that.

Well, the only people who would have closed your threads would be Dustin, Curtis, or myself.  So yes, I felt that I did have the right to speak.  And as for "doing your job", I'm not sure what you mean by this.  I am a volunteer, if you don't like the way I do things, simply don't play.

Currently there are not any changes.  But once I figure out where the last bug came from, I'll implement several changes, including a re-modding of crack empires.
