Topic: Help with Triggers events

Ok, I'm having some trouble with the event in the trigger called Unit - Spcific unit Event. when you click on unit It brings you to another window with preset and variable.. when I click on variable, and then click on select a unit it does nothing but bring me out to the unit palette and then nothing happends after that, not even if you click on the unit you want... What the Hell:conf:! Is the editor buged? Is there a way around this? could someone please help me!! TY!

Are you sure 'specific unit event' is the one you want? As far as I know, it doesn't use a unit palette at all.

Well Its not just that one, its any "unit -" in event I use it does the same thing.. all I can really do is select unit structures.. Well I'll tell you what I'm doing so you'll have a little more of an idea.. Normaly a player defeats when one, or all units and structures die, but what I'm trying to do is make it so the player does'nt defeat untill their hero is dead, but to kill the hero you must destroy their castle first.. thats it, if you could give me the notes on how to set this trigger up that would be great! TY

P.S. This is for a new mod(Total Conquest) that I'm adding on to the old map, war of the 10 kingdoms

I'm not quite sure what ur getting at, but if u were more clear i could fiddle around and help you find a solution

You cannot use a unit-variable with a "Specific unit" trigger.  Because its variable, not specific.  I really wish that worked, but it doesn't.  So: use a similar "generic unit" trigger, and as a condition, compare the unit with your variable.  (This can be a little laggy depending on your map.)
