I actually asked /tg/ for inspiration, but the only marginally good idea they came up with was giving you some descriptions of Holy Terra and/or the Golden Throne and see what you could do with it. If that sounds fun, go with whatever inspiration strikes you from reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planets_of_Warhammer_40,000#Holy_Terra
If that doesn't tickle your fancy, I'll be equally happy (perhaps even moreso?) with murloc yaoi. Has to be sweet and romantic, though!

I love murlocs, but yaoi scares the shit out of me; so Terra it will be. Although, I know nothing about warhammer 40k. At least, I used to know nothing, but I just got lost on wikipedia for an hour. The golden throne sounds cool, I'm having this mental picture of a massively huge technological/mystic throne with a tiny figure on the top. Guarded by a bunch of, uh, [copypaste]Adeptus Custodes[/copypaste]. So, is there official art on that golden throne? It might be better for me not see them though. Is there a more elaborate description of it? Or can suck the whole thing out of my thumb, maybe you would prefer that

I think http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_of_Mankind_%28Warhammer_40%2C000%29#Present_day outlines the basics of the Golden Throne well (life support of the physically decaying Emperor while he eats psykers to maintain the Astronomican). I remember something about it being in the Himalayas (if it can be even said that there's anything left of the Himalayas after the Sancturom Imperialis was built).
I'd like to see your own interpretation of it, really - I've only seen one piece of artwork that I think is the Golden Throne, and it's quite different from how I always imagined it, really.

Um, there was an unexpected holiday that prevented me to work on this, or to come close to a computer for that matter... Sorry bout that.
I tried some sketches for the golden throne... and I figured that it would be much easier to do that shit in 3d
So, I fired up Blender and made this so I could use it as a starting point.
Ive never used 3d as a base for a 2d drawing, so I wonder how this will turn out...
