Topic: Guitar Players!

Can anyone suggest any affordable guitar practice amps, like 30 watters I'd say, with nice distortion and clean sound and decent amount of features?  Thanks indvance

Re: Guitar Players!

My cheap amp in the living room is a Peavy Rage 158 that I bought on eBay for 60 bucks.

My nicer amp is a 150 watt Vetta II that I bought for...I forget....on eBay as well.

Re: Guitar Players!

get a separate distortion pedal, don't depend on your amp features, because they will all sound crummy compared to real effects

you could always get a multi-effect pedal pad (boss and digitech make some great stuff) and plug in headphones or plug it into any sound system you have in your computer room/living room

Re: Guitar Players!

My first amp was a Crate GFX50. Great, crunchy distortion. Excellent for practice, suitable for performances in small venues, and definitely affordable. Not manufactured anymore. Check Craigslist. My second amp was a Line 6 Flextone HD with a 4x12 slanted cabinet. That's 300 watts of pure power. Sits in the garage, gathering dust, because I only play acoustic now. I was just thinking about bringing it inside to hook up to my recording equipment though.
