Systematic Chaos

By Dream Theater. What are your thoughts? I think it's a brilliant medium between Train of Thought and Octavarium although many may disagree. In my opinion they keep developing and moving forward as opposed to other bands that just seem to fall back. Of course nothing can compare with Metropolis Pt. 2, Images and Words and perhaps Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence but that's just me being a sucker for concept albums and DT's 'original' style if I may call it that.
It's hard for me to say whether one is better than the other, rather just the phase of preference where I am at. My favourites atm have to be Forsaken - some of the most solid vocals LaBrie has put out, and although many call him the weakest element of the band, his singing is getting incredibly good, especially if you listen to him singing live in 'Score'. Aside from Forsaken, In the Presence of Enemies Pt's 1 & 2 make up one hell of a fucking epic song. It's taken the epic, structure like A Change of Seasons and Octavarium, being split it into 5 / 8 parts, but also taking on board the heavy / darker element they've adopted in the last 3 albums (especially pt 2).
I love talking about DT basically, what do you guys think of it?
