Topic: x64... which OS?

Just upgraded my processor..  its 64 bit architecture
i've got it running on Win x64, and not sure how i'm liking it....
Would Vista be a better choice?
regular XP?
I'm not seeing much more pros by having the Winx64

[nothing supports x64 >_<]

Vista is much much better for 64bit.. But to be honest, just go with XP x86.

x64 had no drivers for it.   I formatted and put Vista 32 bit on. (dont have 64 bit...)

Found out Microsoft would send me 64-bit for $10 shipping charge.... I found torrents to be the better solution.
After a lot of hassle, I'm finally running on Vista-64.
during the install phase, it asked me to install my dvd drive drivers.  which was weird because the installation was running off the drive.
Long story short, turns out that the vista-64 dvd installation has trouble with SATA and EIDE drives, and would forget that I had IDE drives in my computer once I had loaded up the installation.
went to a friends house to use his sata dvd drive, and now its all done with big_smile
