Topic: My Motherboard died today.
I went to go see The Dark Knight today with my friends( they hadnt seen it), and I come home to a screen saying that my bootsector had a missing or corrupt file. Insert Windows CD and hit enter. So I did, and nothing happened. it also had an "esc" to exit button, so i tried that, and still nothing. CTRL-ALT-Del... nothing. so I did a hard reboot, and it came up with a screen:
Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0
Copyright (c) 2000, Award Software, Inc.
Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive... (and the dots continued on like it was loading something)
Then it beeped, rebooted, and went back to the "Award...." Screen. It is now stuck like that at every reboot.
I googled it, and people are having same trouble, with people trying to get them to reflash the bios, but never any success.
I even took it as far as putting the HD into this computer, loading the flashing info, and then send it back... still nothing.
I'm ready to buy another motherboard to replace Gigabyte's GA-EP35-DS3L.
So i'm interested in your thoughts about this (as well as a proper replacement motherboard If I have to go that route)
Thanks.
