geomancer is probably one of the most overpowered heroes in the game, and dirge is one of my best heroes.  I find him very easy to play, even though most people suck ass with him.  Not bragging, my point is that the heroes that are "easy" to play are almost completely subjective.  Everybody finds heroes easy to play that mesh well with their personal preference and playstyle, and heroes that are "hard to do well with" fly in the face of your playstyle.  In other words, certain heroes are natural complements to your playstyle while some are the opposite.  To me, it is very obvious how you are supposed to play dirge, which is why I do well with him and like him so much.  However, I suck ass with sniper even though I know people can rape with him.  I have friends who are great bounty hunters and broodmothers and I am only "meh" with those heroes.  They just don't appeal to me that much.

Also, I think most, or at least part of the reason people want to play clockwerk so much lately is that he is the new hero.  Just wait until the next new hero comes along and/or people get bored of him.

At any rate I find it silly when people claim that "lol you play the noob heroes" when really EVERY hero is a "noob hero".  Like I said before, the game is about working with your team and knowing how to help your team with your hero, not individual heroes.  Unless you are playing a noobfest match
