Topic: Does MD still have moderators....?
Or do we just not care if it turns in to OT or ESAD anymore? If so we should just delete it and stop pretending. No really, its kind of worthless atm.

Its not that it doesn't have moderators, its just that some members get special treatment.

If you're referring to my youtube link, it's a serious response to a serious topic. Just because it's "mature" discussion doesn't mean it's "depressed" discussion, and being lighthearted towards a topic can be mature too.
If you see it's a comedic bit from youtube and automatically assume it's irrelevant or spammy, then you're the one failing to interpret, not the moderator.

Carlin isn't exactly mindless humor, so in this case I'd say yes, it was a worthy response.
I think probably, LMD is referring to the lifeboat thread, where 111etc replied that he thought perhaps minorities should go first. I'm still trying to decide if this was a serious response; I'm not putting it past him.
While the Carlin link might have been slightly controversial for MD, I don't think it would have attracted attention except that, we apparently just don't really care where the site goes anymore.... so.
If Kevin Costner were a super hero, his super power would be the ability to always find a rope of proper length and tensility coiled at his feet.

The carlin link didn't bother me a whole lot. I am not 100% behind the carlin link, but its not what drove me to make this thread.
