Topic: Battleforge

Anyone play this game at all? It's basically a mix of a magic type card game with RTS... it's pretty fun and it has a pretty good demo for it (full game, just missing scenarios and you can't buy cards). I love the art style in this game it runs great on a myriad of PC setups.

Btw, I'm on there as Buffaload

Re: Battleforge

Game looks hot.  I'm downloading immediately.  I love this kind of thing.  If you're on XBox, I suggest you try the Culdcept Sage demo- I advertised here a few weeks ago but no one seemed interested.

If Kevin Costner were a super hero, his super power would be the ability to always find a rope of proper length and tensility coiled at his feet.

Re: Battleforge

it's interesting.  I like it; however it feels like it's going to start lacking depth about a week after I buy it.  Do you know if they're planning on releasing expansions?

One possible complaint I have is it seems like there are four basic types of units: infantry, ranged, siege, and flying... And it seems like as long as you've got each category covered, it doesn't really matter WHICH cards you include.  Does how you build your deck really have much influence on how well you do (outside of upgrades?)  Are the more rare cards actually much better than the commons?

Re: Battleforge

I like it! I bought it.  I'm in.  My Screenname is KhaorvaK.

I tried adding Buffaload but it wouldn't let because you weren't online.  That's a dumb way to do adding friends.

Re: Battleforge

I'm completely addicted to the Auction house.  I've been flipping cards for profit...

BTW, sponge, if you ever come back to this thread... I've never seen you online.  Which server are you on?

Re: Battleforge

Yea I stopped playing for about a week to try out another game a little bit that my friend wanted me to try with him. I still log in to buy/sell cards every day or so, buying cards low and selling high is lots of fun, it's pretty crazy how much BF you can rack up doing that.

I haven't done any of the pvp really, mostly the PVE missions, all solo/2player done on advanced but the expert 2player maps are rough. Mostly since I've only been doing pve I've been going with an ice/fire deck, but sometimes ice/nature depending on the mission

Re: Battleforge

I think everyone's picking up on the idea of buying low and selling high... and some of these retards will undercut to like 15 bfp of the price they're gonna be selling for... not realizing that after they post, three other people will post, and they're going to lose money.

Buying and selling seems like it's quickyl becoming non-viable.... I had made quite a few bfp that way, but don't think it's going to continue. sad day.
