Hi!  There have been some fairly big changes made in this forum since the last sticky thread, so please read through this one carefully.


Warcraft III Related Issues

When posting anything related to Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos or Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, we request that you provide some diagnostic information so that we know a little bit about your system.

To do this,
- Pop in your Warcraft 3 CD (you must use the RoC CD, not the TFT CD)
- Click "Options"
- Click "Tech Support Info Tool"
- Click "Copy to Clipboard"
- In your post, press Ctrl+V

After that please give a descriptive statement as to what your problem is.


Non-Warcraft III Related Issues

If you are asking about a problem unrelated to Warcraft III, we request that you give as much information as possible about your computer system. If you own Warcraft 3, you may use the Tech Support Info Tool as described above. After that, please give a descriptive statement as to what your problem is.


Adware/Spyware

A surprising number of computer problems these days are caused by adware or spyware.  If you don't know what's wrong with your computer, you should probably download Ad-Aware, update the spyware definitions, and run a "full system scan".  After that, download hijackthis, save the log it produces, and post it in the forums.  (Do not tell hijackthis to "fix" things if you don't know what you're doing!)

This is just a small post, which can be immediately purged, to point out the fact that the link to the hijackthis download site appears to be dead.
