The official BlizzCon web site has revealed some extras that attendees can receive if they attend the Blizzard sponsored event on August 3-4 in Anaheim, CA. The goodies section of the web site has word that BlizzCon attendees will get "a beta key for an upcoming Blizzard game." So far Blizzard has not yet started the ticket selling for the event which will cost $100.

Well I guess I'm going to Blizzcon for my sc2 beta cd key.

I take offense on Billmaan's behalf for your attempt to compare him to "the guy at radio shack".

Anyway, considering SC2 has been officially announced, and Blizz officially announced that they intend to release an expansion pack for WoW every year, the only way this unnamed game can be anything else is if Blizz is working on 3 games at the same time. Now, I'm not saying that's impossible, but come on.

Do you guys think I'll be able to get all the goodies by just buying a ticket, or do I have to actually show up? I feel the need to celebrate my civilian salary by buying something senseless smile

Indeed. I live in Los Angeles and it's gonna cost me quite a bit. The only thing im really worried about is the hotel. They like to jack up prices for conventions.

Developer panels about upcoming games/details about plans for current games.  Playable demos for new games (I assume SC2 will have playable demos this year).  Various vendors for gaming related stuff (Z boards, video cards) with giveaways (they gave away a couple video cards, t shirts, wow atlases, and z boards the last one, the Z board people).

I dunno, it's just a strange feeling I'm getting.  Remember, last blizzcon they had the BC demo and they pretty much just announced that.  Also BC did change a bit from when they showed it at blizzcon (BE warriors for one thing).  I'm pretty sure we'll see some sort of SC2 thing there, be it a multiplayer demo, or just 1/2 sample campaign missons.

Considering the only word on Blizzards website is "upcoming" which is niether of the words you mentioned, you officially said nothing. Besides, we already know they want to put out one expansion a year, and that'd match up with that point quite nicely.
