Topic: Reputation

I couldn't really find a universal suggestions thread, so if there is one, feel free to move this to that.

I was visiting the Tucker Max Message Board (http://messageboard.tuckermax.com/) and they have an interesting system where users can give reputation, good or bad, for posts that are... well, good or bad. I think it would be a neat thing to do, and would probably only need to be disabled in this forum and the ESAD forum.

Just a thought, and would probably raise the quality of posts.

Yes, but you have to factor in that the average IQ of your daily Blizzpub user is not below 100.

Re: Reputation

Blizzpub is already too much like a popularity contest in a lot of ways as it is. It would be terrible to encourage that even further.

Well knows he who uses to consider, that our faith and knowledge thrives by exercise, as well as our limbs and complexion. Truth is compared in Scripture to a streaming fountain; if her waters flow not in a perpetual progression, they sicken into a muddy pool of conformity and tradition. A man may be a heretic in the truth; and if he believe things only because his pastor says so, or the Assembly so determines, without knowing other reason, though his belief be true, yet the very truth he holds becomes his heresy.

It's not so much encouraging it as it is letting everybody know what's what.

Kinda like the post count!

I hope that noone uses the post count to decide whether or not the poster knows what he's talking about.

+ Rep for being smart and awesome and very moderate politically and very reasonable in his spirituality and for not letting the haters get him down.
