Topic: "do or die" blizzpub features?

Well, we've been working on a completely new forums for a while now, but it's more than a month away, being optimistic. So in the meantime, I've decided that this weekend I'll try and make some band-aids on things that might be missing in the current forums.

Current things I'm aware of include:
- Making posts with unicode characters or MS word smart quotes causes them to get cut off, though you can see the full text when you edit (ugh, this one is ugly)
- Search feature is hard to find, and when you find it, it's not all that good.
- u2uing yourself doesn't work (not sure if this will be fixed before new forums)
- timestamps on u2us are in the wrong timezone? (this may have been fixed)

I know polls have been missing for a while, and I'm not sure if they'll be coming back in the short-term. Hopefully we'll get something as a replacement.
Also, killgore requested a rating feature, which while cool, seems like it would be supported better by a third party tool (If anyone knows of one that I can incorporate, let me know)

Anything else I might have missed, or that people want badly?

the server logged me out and when i logged back in nobody has avatars anymore even though the option to show avatars is still checked in my profile
