FUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
I was up to 2ish am yesterday waiting but was to tired and just got up. GOD DAMN IT NICEEEEEEEEEEEE
LOL the abomination-like monster is cute!
The gameplay footage is the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I will not be able to sleep for several days because I won't be able to stop thinking of Diablo 3.
same for me king, same for me
I have watched the gameplay video 3 times now. I can't stop....
I can't download the high res. gameplay though (think some ppl on the bnet forums are having the same problem). But the small streaming video works too.
Even the site is slow for me. I'll explore it later.
My enthusiasm is rather subdued, though. I never went past level 30-something in Diablo 2 - one play-through was enough for me. :V
I am so happy they didn't make this a 3rd person game, but rather kept the top-down view while still making beautiful environments. I am also really happy they decided to focus on coop gaming.
Also, WTB MORE TYRAEL.
I also have to say that I am really really impressed with how great the game looks, even though it is probably at least a year from release.

so....
Lore?
How are they gonna pull this off without butchering Lore?

Eh... both previous Diablo titles survived a good 2-3 years before they became hack-infested. You could tell in 2 their anti-cheat technology improved, and things like the ladder system help as well. With all of the protection we see in WoW we can probably expect a reasonable level of fairness in 3. It certainly won't be hack-proof, but I'm sure it will be much harder and much less common.
I hope, anyway.
Games like that are more fun to play almost exclusively with friends anyway. Fuck the bnet crowd.

I pretty much can't see anything negative about what I've seen at all. They fixed like every problem I used to have with diablo, from what it looks like, and omfg its so fluid and sexy
I am only slightly saddened by the apparent replacement of the necromancer with the voodoo man =[
However, I'm still drooling in anticipation.
The over saturated color tones seem to deviate a bit from the Gothic theme of Diablo. Someone on diabloii.net's forum did some photoshop job and toned down the colors on some of the dungeon screenshots (the ones with the foggy green atmospheres) and they looked much more appealing. I wouldn't be surprised that they take the same measures they did with SC2 and tone it down in the coming months.
Other than that, the game really does look good. It's much more than I expected.

Yeah.
The dev panel said there will be only 5 classes at launch, and would only confirm Barb and Witch Doctor... Which leaves the sorcerer archetype as 3, I doubt they'd get rid of amazon/ranger class so there's 4. That really only leaves one class up for grabs. Druid/Paladin/Assassin/Necromancer?
Or they're going to throw some more entirely new classes our way. Another thing that will be refreshing is getting out of the tank-dps-healer game of WoW. I loved how the Diablo series has done that previously, and it looks like they're throwing another twist into it with these little red healing orbs.
Paladin was always my least favorite class, and it's also always there, so my bet is on Paladin. They always seem to be the main mechanism by which blizzard implements their cooperative-based content.
Ya I played all of the other classes in d2 but Paladins never really caught my interest

I did all but Barbarians really..
I made a barb and pally but never put much time into them.
I had a judgement pally a long time ago..

My favorite characters in d2 were my Druid right after the expansion came out, before they nerfed bear form attack speed (most people didn't know how OP it was before it was nerfed)
Maybe my most favorite character though was my Bonemancer I made right after that patch came out that made them viable. Again, awesome build that nobody at the time took seriously until they saw me beat the tar out of them using it. Was also extremely fun for PVE, I played that build the farthest in to the game game that I had taken any other character.
Ever since then I haven't been able to really get in to Diablo 2 because I want to make a new character, but then that new character always sucks compared to the awesomeness that was my Bonemancer.

I remember I had the most awesome Fury Wolf Druid on USEast back during 1.7
I then proceeded to eff up my grades that semester so bad. I quit aftewrards ![]()

My favorite character was an army-summoning necromancer. So much fun just wandering around directing masses of minions to destroy your enemies. Maybe exploding a corpse or two.
