I don't mind changes, but if you ask for feedback on something drastic like this, and then just dismiss the feedback carelessly (like Thomas did), I doubt anyone will give a shit next time you ask. I sure wouldn't have bothered even checking this thread if it wasn't for Crast's last post.

That's definitely something to consider. I checked this thread, and only stopped to read it when I saw Crast's post. Thomas' replies, sadly, weren't much of a surprise. I suppose that means I'm already into the "not giving a shit" phase. Thomas being a prick would fall under the Known Issues section, but I'm not holding my breath for improvement with his PR skills.

Regardless, the brighter colour scheme took a bit of getting used to, but everything else does seem to look pretty sharp. Good job Crast and Thomas. ^^

That is something I'd like to reintroduce if possible, will have to see if there is any addon available, or how easy it'd be to extend it ourselves.

However, other than the current rendering issues, active topics and new posts (user specific) provide a much better representation of activity than moobb did. It has links that go to the relevant post, the dot shows if you've posted in it and in general it's more consistent than moobb's.

+1. I've never claimed otherwise, and I asked Crast to post for that reason. I still want you to come back and moderate so I don't have to post/do anything of authority outside of development.

At some point after flux 1.3 dev stabilizes a bit, I'm hoping to do a dark theme for the site in addition to the flux provided bright one. No guarantees though.

Since we're not pursuing the other site anymore, the colour scheme I'm planning can be seen here, in an older screenshot (yes that's a placeholder logo - fear my leet photoshop skillz)

As for the name, well. You can probably guess what we were going for. wink

Re: New Forums comments and bug reports

From what I remember back when I used to mess with this stuff themes aren't really all that hard to cobble together. I dunno if it they work the same as the old phpBB stuff, but if it's just a stylesheet and template images I'd be happy to try and put something together for those of us that think dark-on-light Blizzpub just isn't natural.

I love the way that fades along the sides there. =O

TBH I didn't really read most of the thread, but it would be nice if there was a function to mark everything as read. It used to assume I read posts when I closed the browser and came back but now it shows new posts until I click all the threads with new posts.

It basically is, have a look at the files here: http://fluxbb.org/trac/browser/fluxbb/b … yle/Oxygen

What you do is rename the folder and php file to the name of your theme, and change the includes in the php file. The rest is all css & images. I should warn you that flux is still reorganizing their layout and css, so if you come up with something you might have to update it frequently for the time being. That is why we're waiting with any potential "offical" dark theme.

If you use new posts, as opposed to actve topics, you can mark all as read (at the bottom of the page).

Edit: Whoa, just updated to the latest SVN; If you're getting weird layout, do a force refresh and it should sort itself out (CTRL+F5).
