Topic: Any MTG fans left? ...Had an idea
So I had this idea for a new extended format. Call it 2 person extended tournament or something.
We both start with decks composed entirely of 10th Edition cards, perhaps with a maximum of 4 or 8 or so rare cards. We play a match, 2of3 wins. The loser gets to switch out 15 cards for any 15 cards he chooses (perhaps with "vintage" rules on which cards are available.) The winner must not change his deck at all.
We play another match. Again, the loser gets to switch 15 cards while the winner must keep his deck.
What we end up with eventually is two decks finely tuned to kick the crap out of each other's decks- custom built decks for the purpose of the duel.
I don't know who wins; say the first player to win ten matches or something. Maybe one person wins once he's won 4 matches in a row. Perhaps putting an end point to the tournament would defeat the purpose?
Thoughts?
