I watched it last night. Some special effects are still "rude" - as in windows paint explosions and raw 3D models in fight scenes.
Fairly nice movie, but the final showdown was no way near finished. Kind ruined it. I say keep clear of it until it gets done - unless you really don't care.

I know this is not the final cut but this is what my take is on the movie so far in this state. Remind you, I will see the movie despite my impressions.
I watched it once I posted the thread. Due to a lot of things missing from the movie, I focused on other things that I normally wouldn't in a comic book movie. The dialogue was horrible. But it fit the state the movie was in. It seemed like sub-B-movie lines in a sub-B-movie. But I'm not judging the appearance. Plus it's a comic movie so cheesy lines were expected but some of the scenes were... I can't place my finger on it.
I have heard that there is 20 minutes missing from the release. Even without those scenes, the story seemed complete. People who are really anal about keeping close to the source material will be upset. 5-15% might be canon. But I'm not one of those people who can't understand fitting years of storyline material into a 1.5-2 hour movie is really hard.
The mutants they had in were mostly cool and used their powers in great ways.

Wraith teleporting around and fighting. Cyclops slicing through the scool with his optic blast. Gambit with his acrobatics and cards. Weapon 11 fight. Wolverine and Sabretooth fights were nice but short and they seemed to be the same fight but different times. Agent 0 and Blob were both great.
Watching a movie in this state also gave me more of an idea of how much movies now rely on FX even in what i would think are simple scenes.

haha Logan looking into the sky and screaming a few times. It's as if there was a quota. It would have been cooler if they fleshed out the kid Logan story more. Perhaps that is part of the footage that is missing. There was a kid of the guy that is Logan's father and you suspect him of being Wolverine as a kid because his father looks like him and his father is named Logan, IIRC. Logan as a kid is always sick before his powers kicked in and it was a neat twist in the origin comic.
They really messed up Deadpool and made it so he can't get a solo movie if Fox owns the license to him and wish to keep all their Marvel movies in the same universe. Gambit was cool in the scenes he had but short screen time.

And yeah, I never heard of Gambit before, but he seemed sickly overpowered 
I couldn't get a grasp of all his abilities. Charging stuff with "ki"? and acrobatics. In his first fighting scene it seemed like he could do *everything*

Gambit does exactly what you said. He charges things with kinetic energy. Things charged and thrown can blow up.
Deadpool was Wade. The guy with the swords in the beginning. Notice how Stryker says he would be the perfect soldier if he didn't talk. Then his mouth was sewn shut as Weapon XI. In comics he is known as the Merc with a Mouth due to never shutting up and cracking joke. They got some of his crap correct but the backstory behind most things were wrong.

Beginning of the movie was great and enticing. As the movie progressed, it slowly got worse and worse; can't really pinpoint when it started sucking though.

I liked it until he went solo. Then it became your typical vendetta/vengeance movie with B movie lines.
The whole movie's dialogue felt B level.
